Should You Build a Mobile App or Mobile Website? [Infographic]

As all research points out, the future of the web is mobile as consumer habit grows in accessing data and information via smartphones and other devices. So to prepare for this cultural trend, is it better to get started by creating a mobile-optimized website or by building a mobile app?

Studies have shown Internet users prefer mobile browsers for shopping, searching and entertainment. And that they prefer mobile apps for managing data, navigation and connecting with others.

The advertising agency MDG pulled data from various sources to create the infographic below to compare mobile apps and mobile sites.
